Pool is relatively new to Thais and its popularity in the Kingdom has yet to match that of snooker. Nevertheless, the Billiard Sports Association of Thailand is making its utmost effort to popularise the sport in the country and has been sending its players to take part in various international tournaments. Thailand won bronze medal in the 9-ball pool event at the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games in August 2001 through Surathep Phuchalaem. |
